The territory of Valeggio sul Mincio stretches along the course of the Mincio river, on the beautiful hills that form the frameset for Lake Garda. Well worth visiting is the beautiful medieval Scaligero Castle. By taking the tree-lined road downhill one reaches Borghetto, where the striking ruins of the Visconteo bridge are found, which the people of Valeggio call Pontelongo (long bridge). In the month of June the restaurant owners of Valeggio organize the famous "Dinner on the Bridge." The Sigurtà Park is certainly one of the most beautiful gardens of Europe. Here one can take unbelievably nice walks in lush small woods among blooming flower-beds and smalls ponds.
