Verona and the Arena

With its many facets, Verona, a city of very ancient origins once ruled by the Della Scala family, charms and surprises thousands of visitors from all over the world. Art, culture, nature, oeno-gastronomy... in every corner of Verona and its province there is something to discover.
Its historic center, one of Unesco’s World Heritage Sites, is rich of works of art renowned all over the world: the Arena, the Roman Theater, the Roman Stone Bridge, Castelvecchio, the Duomo, the Basilica of San Zeno.
The famous William Shakespeare also found inspiration in the magical atmosphere of Verona for one of his most important works: Romeo and Juliet. Juliet’s balcony is almost a mandatory destination for all the people in love who visit Verona. Walking among the narrow alleys one discovers striking views and characteristic small restaurants and taverns where to taste the traditional dishes: the boiled meats with pearà sauce, the polenta with the pastissada, the pasta and bean soup, the salami and the famous risotto varieties.
